Porto Translational MRI: Neuro

Brain diseases have a profound impact on modern societies. From neurodegeneration to cancer, the complexity of such conditions poses a healthcare burden with notable economic repercussions, while markedly diminishing the quality of life of those affected. Precision medicine has fostered the development of advanced preclinical models of brain disease, as well as constant technological improvements in multimodal imaging, including magnetic resonance (MRI). “Porto Translational MRI: Neuro” will bring together neuroradiologists and neuroimaging experts to discuss the current benefits and challenges of clinical MRI for detection and treatment-planning/monitoring of brain diseases, and the roadmap(s) to tackle them from the preclinical side.
